UKA, Norway's largest cultural festival, is less than two months away. Are you ready to take part in the festivities?

UKA is the largest cultural festival and the oldest student festival in Norway. The festival has been held every other year ever since it was first held in 1917, with the exception of the years spent under occupation during the war.

UKA is run by volunteering students, and has a total of approximately 2000 volunteers who work together to create the best festival possible.

UKA-23 will take place from the 5th until the 29th of October, and will consist of a myriad of different events. This autumn, 50 Cent, Astrid S, and Honningbarna, among others, will take center stage.

During UKA, the different events held will include concerts with both local and international artists and groups, as well as themed parties, various courses and shows. Berrum & Beyer, the Norwegian comedian duo, will appear among the latter.

UKA also has its own revue. The UKErevue is at the heart of UKA, as it was the starting point of the very first festival in 1917. The UKErevue is put on by the hard work of approximately 180 volunteers, and is becoming more and more ambitious every year.

Although UKA´s events take place on both weekdays and weekends, the weekends are special. Each weekend has its own focus; the first is B-weekend (6th - 8th) and is for the city. Next up is G-weekend (13th - 15th) which is dedicated to all former Trondheim students, while S-weekend (20th - 22nd) is for all students, regardless of their place of study. Finally, UKA ends with H-weekend (27th - 29th) in honor of all volunteers at Samfundet during UKA and ISFiT.

As a volunteer in UKA, you get the opportunity to make your mark on this year's festival while working together with the diversity of students who participate as volunteers. The experiences and friendships created during the intensive festival period will not soon be forgotten.

Do you want to take part as a volunteer and help shape UKA? UKA is recruiting volunteers from the 14th of August!
